About Our Pretzels: Real Chocolate Makes All the Difference

We want to tell you something about our chocolate-dipped pretzels, because we think it matters, and one or two folks at our in-person events have asked why our pretzels cost what they do. Fair question, so we thought we’d share the answer here too.

Our pretzels are made with real Ghirardelli milk chocolate — not melts. If you’ve ever wondered why some dipped pretzels (and other candies) taste a little waxy or flat, it’s often because they’re made with candy melts, which don’t actually contain chocolate (it's cocoa powder and oil, among other things). We chose to do things differently, and so use real milk chocolate. We also temper our chocolate so it retains its gorgeous sheen for weeks (not that we expect the pretzels to be around for weeks. We’re biased, but they’re delicious!)

Each pretzel is also decorated with a custom sprinkle mix created exclusively by Candied Optimism, designed to match the spirit of each holiday or occasion. It’s one of those small details that we hope you notice — and taste.

Because honestly, if we’re going to make something, we’re going to make it to a high standard.
